Sue closeSue Nelson is a Radio 4 and World Service presenter, writer and a former BBC science and environment correspondent for Breakfast and the One O’clock TV news. An award-winning journalist and broadcaster – and an experienced live performer for 5 Live and News 24 - her reports have appeared on all the BBC’s national TV and radio news bulletins including Today and The Ten O’clock News. Sue is a regular guest presenter for Material World while her own series, Citizen Science, prompted a call from the Palace – royalty had enjoyed the programme!

Richard closeRichard Hollingham is a BBC current affairs presenter, author and journalist, specialising in science and environment. The author of Blood and Guts: A History of Surgery, he has filed stories from more than 40 countries including Antarctica (twice), Libya and Vietnam. He presents the BBC World Service environment programme One Planet and regular series on the network including Science Hotspots and Discovery. He has also presented several recent series for Radio 4 including Frontiers, Crossing Continents, Seeds of Trouble, Losing the Past, Arctic Meltdown and Libya’s Desert Water. Richard is a former senior producer on the BBC’s flagship news programme, Today, and was its first dedicated science producer.

Richard and Sue are the co-authors of How to Clone the Perfect Blonde and have lectured together at the Cheltenham, Edinburgh and Wrexham Science Festivals. They have also chaired and taken part in debates at the Science Museum's Dana Centre and the British Association science festival.
